Xiaomi introduced its first flagship in India with Mi3 and entered Indian market, this phone had leading Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 clocked at 2.3 GHz with 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 16 GB internal storage which they introduced in Rs. 13999. The problem with Mi3 was that it was available with only 16GB of internal and no external card support and it was available only for one and a half month.

The next phone which was introduced was the Mi4, having similar processor clocked at 2.5 Ghz with smaller bezels but Mi4 didn’t have NFC due to less people using it and it had 3 GB of RAM. This phone was made available in India in two variants with internal storage 16 GB and 64 GB, prized at Rs. 18999 and 24999 respectively which have been reduced recently. Sadly this phone had no 4G support, so it didn’t become as popular as its predecessor.

Now Xiaomi has promised to launch its next flagship with the name Mi5 in India, after lots of hassle of getting a production unit in the country, Xiaomi has now again become active and announced launching of its next flagship device on 24th of February, some leaked rumors came out which told that this new flagship will have 26 MP of camera as compared to 13 MP of both its predecessors, and its two variant will have 16 Gigs of Internal with 3 Gigs of RAM and 64 Gigs of internal with 4 Gigs of RAM. Some rumors also indicate that with 3 Gig RAM variant 16 MP camera will be there and the 26 MP will be with 4 Gig RAM Variant. It is also said that a USB type C port will be there which supports Quick Charge 3.0, surprisingly Xiaomi is also rumored top bring back NFC as its use is increasing.
