Sex or sexual intercourse is considered as a taboo subject in the world each and every person fantasize about one or the other aspect of sex. People experience being horny but that doesn’t mean they jump any chance they can get, let’s get some facts about sex straight
1. It is not a Taboo
If we dive in the details of depicting sex as Taboo then we can go for days but let me clear this with all of you it is not a taboo, one feels shy while discussing about sex with the opposite gender(some cases) and their family, otherwise it’s a normal thing between friends, in present day the impression of sex being a taboo is reduced but still it’s going on, if we talk about it with a practical mind then people say that sex is bad or unholy but this is the way we human reproduce. There are some hypocrites in this world who say that children are the gift of gods and the act by which children are born is unholy or a Taboo. Not me even the dictionary says this is the definition of hypocrisy.
2. Then what is it
As I simply described that it is the way humans reproduce, it is the part of cycle of life which goes on and on, not only humans but animals also take part in sex, so how can it be different. Sex is a topic to be shy about as it includes some of your most intimate parts of body but still it’s a common and necessary thing to procreate in this world
3. Why does people think of it as taboo
This is not the condition in the whole world but most people feel shy about it. The cultures of our world consider it as a taboo due to it being a physical act and the widespread thing is that we are spiritual beings so how can we procreate using physical relationships. Seriously this is all bullshit, as one of the famous phrase says “beauty is in the eye of the beholder” which means the way you look at something can mean entirely different for someone else. There are many cultures and mythologies across the continents which all have deities check out it here.
4. Why it’s not that subjective in India
Source: On Air with AIB
That’s a million dollar question because India being a diverse country should not have sex as a Taboo subject while people should be more vocal about it than normally in the country. And even being not vocal results in crimes like rapes and sexual harassment in the country, but we all know some of the other country are more vocal than India and they suffer no such crimes. The main reason is education, as a child hits puberty and starts their teenage life they experience different changes in their body and to explain it “Sex Education” is taught so one knows what is happening with them but In India there is no such subject, and the obsoletism in India is even higher as some people are blaming “Sex Education” for these kind of crimes in the country. The crux of the matter is that no one wants the country to progress and in many of the news channel there were some vocal opposer of what a refined version of SE is called CSE (Comprehensive Sex Education) which not only teaches about the changes but also teaches about moral values which can help prevent many of these crimes but the vocal opposer who even haven’t heard of SE started blaming it for these type of crimes. Check the above clip showing it.
5. So we should be more open about sex
That will be the correct way as I said it is not a Taboo subject, one should be more vocal and inquisitive about it as this is the only way one can satisfy their curiosities, otherwise it will remain the same way for many upcoming years. The definition of taboo changes from the society. In some society giving a flowers to someone is considered taboo and in metro like delhi, sending flowers to delhi is also considered fine.
